How To Motivate Yourself Before A Photo Shoot

How Do I Get Enthusiastic About My Upcoming Photoshoot?

Clifford: *yawns* What?
Kevin: The answer is ‘yes’. Wait…can you repeat the question?
Boof: All I heard was enthusiastic. Where can I find this stic you speak of?

Wessler Thumbnail 1080pEvery now and then people come into the studio feeling flat and less than enthusiastic for a shoot. Who could blame them? Everybody goes through up and downs for whatever reason; we’re only human after all. However, there are ways to improve your mood and get you motivated again. To help prepare you for great shots, here are 3 techniques to get pumped for any future snap session:

Listen To Your Favourite Music

Listening to your favourite tunes beforehand will help lower the levels of the stress hormone in your body. This will allow you to feel more comfortable in given situations e.g. a photoshoot, an interview or when you have simply no idea what you’re doing.

Watch Funny YouTube Videos

Good vibes vastly improve the quality of photos that are captured, so it’s important to get your daily dose of humour in advance. Without this a playful mood that exists between you and the photographer, a photoshoot would seem more like a transaction than a positive memorable experience. One of the best and easiest ways to get your comedy fix is to hop onto good ol’ YouTube. You don’t know of any funny videos to watch? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Remember The Benefits

Finally, remember what your photos are for. Is it to help land a lead on Home and Away? Is it to humanise your corporate brand? Or are you simply capturing the special moments shared with your loved ones? Always keep in mind your goal as it will help you get the most out of yourself.
